Andrea and Peter's wedding was a scrumptious excursion into the handfasting tradition and was complete with medievel touches such as archery for the garter toss and trebouchet for the bouquet! A very special couple committed to having a celebration with a low environmental impact, but BIG on love! Their story has made it's way across the globe and I was very honored to participate as one of their photographers. Here's one story, featured in Offbeat Bride:

I am excited to announce my next wedding this weekend in Spokane. You may have heard about the couple that conceived and brought to fruition a unique idea to fund their wedding.....by collecting aluminum cans! Well, they met their goal and are getting married on Saturday, July 31st!
Plank Pictures Photography will be one of two photographers present to document Peter and Andrea's beautiful wedding and I am thrilled to be a part of their celebration! This wedding marks the first that Plank Pictures will do on an annual basis at no charge to the couple. Each year I will provide full wedding coverage to a unique couple that needs a "break!" Maybe they have contributed their services in the military, have lost a job, are struggling with illness or has given tirelessly to their community.
Stayed tuned for more on Peter and Andrea's wedding and for additional information on next year's couple! I will begin taking requests soon for the 2011 wedding!
